Most orders will be completed within 5-7 business days.
Because our Nashville music professionals are working at reduced rates, we give them at least 1 week to complete a service so that they can 'batch' their PRO projects each week.
Do I get revisions?
All* PRO orders come with one free round of revisions.
NOTE: Mixing Services come with 3 revision rounds because that is simply a part of the mixing process.
Any additional revision rounds will be billed separately at $30 an hour.
For example: If you ordered electric guitar services and needed more than one revision -- you would request that additional revision and we would track the time it takes our guitarist to finish that revision.
If it took them 30 minutes to finish your revision -- you would be charged an additional $15.
* Due to the time it takes to create a String Ensemble, the first round of revisions for String Ensembles (3 String Parts or more) is free up to 30 minutes -- after that it is $40 per hour
Do I get to pick the musician for my project?
When hiring vocals, yes :)
We assign all other PRO projects ourselves.
We do this for a few reasons.
The first reason: it saves you the time of scrolling through profiles and samples to try to find the right fit based off of very limited information.
Secondly, we do this because we know our musicians and their skillsets best and we want to make sure you have the right music pro for your project.
The third reason is that we have a highly curated team that works specifically on PRO projects. Part of the reason that this team agrees to work on projects for such low prices is that the team only expands in size as there is need. So they work for lower prices than they do anywhere else, but they get more work due to the small team.
And lastly: because we have a PRO team, the musicians you see on the main site are not all on the PRO team. Because of that, you cannot select from the main roster.
What if I'm not happy with the final result?
If you are not happy with your final result after your free revision -- we offer a 100% Money Back Guarantee on all PRO orders.
Do I keep my rights when hiring musicians?
All sessions are Work For Hire. This means you keep 100% of the ownership.
Do I keep my rights with Songwriting Sessions?
You sure do!
You keep 100% of your ownership of the materials created or discussed in Songwriting Sessions.
These prices are really low. Are the musicians being paid ethically?
Andrew (Founder of NFH) here to answer this one myself.
Because this is really important to me.
The short answer: Yes!
Longer answer: The PRO membership is designed to be a win / win / win. '
We call this the Win - Win - Win Initiative.
1. A win for you. Because you can afford to purchase the services that your music needs.
2. A win for our musicians. Even though they are being hired at rates that are a fraction of their normal fee, we make sure that they still (on average) make around $40 an hour. We can make this happen because all of the flat rates you pay for services go directly to them. We (NFH as a business) only keep the subscription fee.
we manage all orders,
handle all communications with clients (that's you!),
and manage all files.
This means that all our musicians have to do is sit down at their instrument and do what they do best: help bring your song to life.
Not only that, but we build in enough turnaround time that our musicians can "batch" orders and be as efficient as possible with their time.
AND we have a hyper curated PRO team of musicians that only grows as the volume of orders grow. So while they may be working for lower rates than they usually do, they get more orders more often. And consistency is huge in the freelance space.
3. What about that 3rd win? That "win" is a win for our business model. Subscriptions allow us to make consistent revenue and therefore provide a service like this that creates a win for you and our musicians.
Thanks for coming to my TED Talk :)
